Active India Holidays did a fantastic job organizing and guiding our 8-day trip through the Golden triangle. Ravi was extremely helpful as we planned our itinerary and accommodations, promptly responding to questions. From the moment we were greeted at the airport in Delhi, the rest of the team made sure we were comfortable and any concerns were addressed. Our driver was with us for the entire trip from beginning to end. He was amazing at navigating the chaos of the roads. We always felt safe as we dodged the cows, dogs, monkeys, motorcycles and horse drawn carts we encountered. The local guides in in each city were friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about sharing the history and culture of the area. While we certainly enjoyed touring the Taj Mahal and the awesome forts and palaces in Rajasthan, what we like most was being brought to temples and markets, where we could experience firsthand the daily lives of the local residents. I recommend staying at one or more Heritage hotels. They provide a peaceful, much needed retreat from the chaos and hubbub of the streets. Five stars for Active India Holidays for their expertise in putting together such a memorable trip.

Ravi Tickoo is the founder and managing director of Active India Holidays Pvt. Ltd. – a National Award winning specialist brand for active, experiential holidays and destination management services across India, Nepal and Bhutan.
A veteran of adventure tourism, Ravi’s experience of over three decades goes back to the early beginnings of professionally organised adventure travel in India. Working at the helm of multiple award-winning tourism brands, Ravi has been at the forefront of conceiving, planning and executing pioneering active, experiential programs across the region and opening up several remote destinations for professional, sustainable tourism.
Recognising the gap in the market for a dedicated local brand for active experiential holidays and world-class destination services, Ravi established Active India in 2011 offering authentic, safe and sustainable holiday experiences for families, small groups and independent travellers. Within years, Active India has emerged as one of India’s fastest-growing and award-winning brands serving thousands of visitors from across the globe each year.
