Overview
On the border of Sikkim and Nepal, Kanchenjunga is the world’s third highest mountain, and this exciting trekking itinerary takes you within a stone’s throw of its gigantic bulk. Ascending through beautiful landscapes of grassy meadows, rhododendron forests of and rushing streams, we’ll reach the breathtaking heights of this little-visited part of the eastern Himalayas. You’ll also have the chance to explore the fascinating centres of Gangtok and Darjeeling and the local Buddhist culture.

Day 1 - Arrive in Delhi, the national capital of India, the city which is as historic as modern. After clearing immigration and customs formalities; proceed towards the arrival hall, where you will be greeted by our office representative. He will assist you to the vehicle and will take you to the Delhi Hotel. There are no activities planned for the first day, so simply relax at the Hotel and recover your energy levels or depending upon your flight schedules we can plan some. Stay Overnight in Delhi.

Day 2 - Morning transfer to domestic airport to board your flight for Bagdogra. Upon arrival you will be received by airport representative who will provide you transfer to Gangtok. Evening free time to enjoy local atmosphere and appreciate nature around us. Stay Overnight in Gangtok (125 kms / 3-4 hrs)

Day 5 - This morning after breakfast start your trek through forests and rivers to Bakhim (2,790m) and lunch continue walk further another 3km through the forest of magnolia and rhododendron to reach the fairly new Tibetan village of Tsokha. Stay Overnight in camp. (Walking 5-6 hrs)

Day 6 - Today after breakfast trek passes through the village of Tshoka and later ascending trek to Phedang (3650m). A steep climb from here brings you out of the forest from where we can enjoy views of peaks of Kanchenjunga range. Walk to Dzongri for overnight stay in camp. (Walking 5-6 hrs)

Day 9 - This morning the trail goes downhill to the next campsite through forests and camp before Samiti Lake at Lamuney as camping is not permitted closer to lake. During trekking you can enjoy the views of Thangshing , Khang and Pandim in addition to Kanchenjunga and Goechla peaks which make our day great. Overnight night stay in camp. (Walking 4-5 hrs)

Day 13 - This morning say good bye to your trekking team after breakfast and board your vehicle for transfer to Darjeeling. Arrive in the afternoon and check in hotel. Rest of the day is free to explore mall road and local enjoy local atmosphere as well. Or optional sightseeing visiting Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tibetan Self Help Centre and some local monasteries if time allows. Overnight stay in hotel.(Transfer 5-6 hrs)
